Valinor is a full contact medieval combat organization in the State College, PA area and will soon be spreading to Cleveland, Ohio. We use foam padded weapons or boffers to recreate medieval combat. Participants assume the role of a persona that could have lived in pre-firearms history or fantasy, dress in the period and culture's clothing, and meet on the battlefield for combat.

Practices:
Our main realm practices are held Sundays from 12:00 pm onward. The current practice site is on the HUB Lawn which is located just off of Pollock Rd.
Practices for Ohio Valinor will be posted in January, and will be held near Brunswick Ohio.
Garb is highly encouraged. If you do not own any, a quick trip to the thrift store can remedy your immediate minimal garb requirments, but in time you will need to appropriate a Realm Tabard. If you need help making a tabard a more experienced member will be glad to help you out.
Also, it is recommended that you wear boots and any other safety equipment that suits your particular needs. This is a full contact sport similar in intensity to rugby or martial arts.
Bring any water/food supplies you think you'll need.

Safety:
At the beginning of practice, every weapon will be checked for all safety requirments stated in the Dagorhir Battle Games National Rules.
We are doing this to have fun and thusly anyone that is not respectful of other's safety, or the safety of school or personal property will be asked to leave.
Participation:
Dagorhir is a nonprofit organization, and our goal is to create a fun environment in which anyone that wants to participate can. As a member of the Dagorhir Battle Games Association, we do not and will never discriminate due to race, sex, creed, religious standing, political views, etc.
Our only prerequisites are based solely with safty in mind. No one under the age of 16 is permitted to participate in combat, and anyone intending on participating as a member must print, fill out, and hand in a signed "Waiver of Liability" and "Contract of Membership" to your Chapter leader.
